Product description
Larch cladding consists of cladding boards in larch, supplied rough-sawn or planed depending on the version. The dimensions given suit various types of cladding and lining; further widths and intermediate lengths can be enquired about for a specific project.
With planed stock, the actual finished sizes can differ from the original sawn size. You will find more on this in our guide Sawn size and finished size in sawn timber: what is the difference?
The boards can be used singly or combined into various types of cladding. A board-on-board cladding with base and cover boards of differing widths can be built, for example.
Because of its properties, larch is often used for timber cladding outdoors. The boards are supplied left natural and without chemical impregnation.
The boards are available freshly sawn or kiln-dried (KD). How the drying grades differ is explained in our guide Freshly sawn, air-dried or kiln-dried: what is the difference?
Also common are the terms cladding boards, facade boards and shuttering.
A corresponding version in spruce is under Spruce cladding. Boards with a tongue-and-groove profile are under Larch rough-sawn tongue-and-groove boards. Further boards and profiles are in the Sawn & Round Timber overview.
