Spruce Bonanza fence, all the essentials

Product description

Spruce Ranger fence boards are boards in locally grown spruce with a natural waney edge. The irregular line of the waney edge is a characteristic part of the product and gives a Bonanza or Ranger fence its typical natural appearance.

The boards are offered rough-sawn as standard. On request the faces can also be planed at extra cost, while the natural character of the waney edge is retained.

Because of the differing board widths and the individual line of the waney edge, the fence appearance is deliberately not completely uniform. The boards are therefore particularly suitable for fence installations where a natural and rustic timber look is wanted.

Also common are the terms Ranger fence, ranch fence and spruce slab boards.

Areas of use

Spruce Ranger fence boards are used above all for pasture and paddock fences, garden and property fences and other rustic enclosures.

As horizontal fence boards they can be worked with suitable posts into classic Bonanza and Ranger fences. In garden and landscape construction, too, they suit natural boundaries and individual fence solutions.

Origin & sustainability

The timber for our spruce Ranger fence boards comes from sustainably managed forests in Germany.

Delivery

Delivery is made through various freight partners. The lead time is as a rule approx. 1 to 2 weeks and can vary according to the version, the length, the order quantity and the delivery location.

The Ranger fence boards are supplied by the pallet or bundled. Larger order quantities up to complete or several lorry loads can be organised accordingly.

Depending on the scope of delivery and the vehicle used, a forklift or comparable lifting equipment may be needed for unloading.

Collection at our Hennef address is not possible, as only our offices are located there.

  • The Ranger fence boards are supplied with a natural waney edge. Its shape and line differ from board to board by nature.
  • The boards are predominantly approx. 15 to 25 cm wide. Individual boards can turn out narrower or wider.
  • The standard version is rough-sawn. A planed version is possible at extra cost.
  • With planed stock, the actual finished sizes can change slightly compared with the original cut.
  • Remains of bark or inner bark may be present on the waney edge. These can partly come away over time through drying, transport or weathering.
  • Spruce is a natural product. Differences in colour, knots, grain and surface are typical of timber.
  • With spruce left natural outdoors, the service life and behaviour depend substantially on the construction, the weathering and the moisture loading.
