In detail

Robinia plant stakes, all the essentials

Product description

The plant stakes are sawn from robinia and worked left natural. Robinia is a hard and dense timber; the heartwood in particular is distinguished by a high natural durability.

The stakes are supplied without chemical impregnation and suit various uses in gardening and plant growing where a stable plant support is needed.

Also common are the terms vineyard stakes, vine posts and perennial stakes.

Anyone looking for a round stake in the same timber species rather than a square one will find it in the robinia stakes; heavier square cross-sections are available as Oak posts. Further stakes and posts are in the Stakes & Posts overview.

On setting depth and spacing with robinia there is the article Setting robinia stakes: depth, spacing and common mistakes.

Areas of use

Robinia plant stakes are used above all as supporting stakes in gardening, vegetable growing and plant growing. Typical applications are supporting young plants, perennials and climbing plants as well as use in fruit growing and viticulture, in tree nurseries and in garden and landscape construction. Depending on the version, the stakes are available pointed or blunt.

Origin & sustainability

The timber used for our robinia plant stakes comes predominantly from eastern European sources. Depending on availability, other European regions of origin can also be used.

Delivery

Delivery is made through various freight partners. That lets us cover most common transport routes and delivery regions. The lead time is as a rule approx. 4 weeks and can vary according to the dimensions, the order quantity and the delivery location.

The robinia plant stakes are supplied by the pallet. Larger order quantities up to complete or several lorry loads can be organised accordingly.

Depending on the scope of delivery and the vehicle used, a forklift or comparable lifting equipment may be needed for unloading. When you enquire, please let us know what unloading facilities are available on site.

Collection at our Hennef address is not possible, as only our offices are located there.

Important notes

  • Robinia plant stakes are sawn natural timber products. Dimensional deviations as well as differences in colour, texture and grain can occur.
  • The goods are not graded free of knots. Knots and other features typical of timber can therefore occur.
  • Depending on the cut, proportions of sapwood may be included.
  • Occasional remains of bark can stay on the timber. If that has to be ruled out for your application, please tell us with the enquiry or at the latest before ordering, and we can allow for it when selecting the goods.
  • Through the natural drying of the timber, cracks or slight distortion can occur.
  • Further lengths and cross-sections are possible on request subject to availability.
