Product description
Oak round posts are naturally grown and worked in their original round form. Diameter, grown shape and bark appearance can vary from post to post.
Oak is a hard and dense timber. The heartwood in particular has a good natural durability and has therefore long been used for outdoor applications. The posts are worked left natural and without chemical impregnation.
Also common are the terms oak round timbers and oak round posts.
Cleft instead of round, the same timber species is called Oak cleft posts; a debarked round post without bark is available as Sweet chestnut round posts. Further stakes and posts are in the Stakes & Posts overview.
When the round and when the cleft form is the right one is covered in the guide Cleft post or round post.
