In detail

Larch fence pales, all the essentials

Product description

Larch fence pales are made from German larch and are available either rough-sawn or planed. Depending on the fence appearance wanted, two profile shapes are available: rectangular fence pales for a straight-lined appearance, rough-sawn or planed, or half-round planed pales with a softer profile shape.

The head finish can also be adapted to the design wanted. The pales are available square cut or bevelled. The standard cross-sections 20 × 55 mm and 24 × 60 mm suit numerous classic garden and property fences.

Also common are the terms pale fence, garden fence pales and fence pales.

The same pales in spruce are available as Spruce fence pales; wider and with a round head they are called Larch fence pales, wide. Rails and posts are in the Fences & Fence Posts overview.

Why planed pales are narrower than rough-sawn ones with the same stated size is explained in the article Sawn size and finished size.

Areas of use

Larch fence pales are used above all for garden, front-garden and property fences and for classic pale fences in garden and landscape construction.

By choosing between the rectangular and the half-round shape and between different head finishes, various fence appearances can be built.

Origin & sustainability

The timber for our larch fence pales comes from sustainably managed forests in Germany.
