Product description
Larch rhombus battens are made from German larch and machined to a rhombus profile. The planed surface and the bevelled profile shape allow an even, clearly structured design of timber surfaces.
Larch is a resinous softwood and, because of its properties, is often used outdoors. The rhombus battens are supplied left natural and, depending on the arrangement, can be worked with open joints or joints of differing widths.
Also common are the terms rhombus profile, rhombus facade and facade battens.
The same surface without a rhombus profile is produced by cladding boards: Larch cladding in the same timber species, Spruce cladding as the more economical option. Further profiles are in the Sawn & Round Timber overview.
Why planed stock carries a different size from rough-sawn is explained in the article Sawn size and finished size.
