Oak Bonanza fence & side boards, all the essentials

Product description

Oak Ranger fence boards are rough-sawn boards with a natural waney edge. This waney edge is a characteristic part of the product and gives Bonanza or Ranger fences their typical rustic, left-natural look.

In addition we offer oak side boards. They arise when oak sawn timber is cut, from the outer areas of the log, and can vary more in width, shape and the line of the edge. With side boards, boards both with and without a waney edge may be included. They are particularly suitable for projects where a natural and less even look is wanted.

Also common are the terms Ranger fence, ranch fence and oak slab boards.

Areas of use

Oak Ranger fence boards are used above all for pasture and paddock fences and for garden, property and screening fences. As horizontal fence boards they can be combined with suitable timber posts into robust, natural-looking fence installations.

In garden and landscape construction, too, the boards are used for enclosures, boundaries and individual fence solutions. Side boards are particularly suitable where a rustic look is wanted and even grading is not the main concern. They are often chosen when a rustic look is wanted or an economical fence solution is being sought.

Origin & sustainability

The timber for our oak Ranger fence boards and the oak side boards comes from sustainably managed forests in Germany.

Delivery

Delivery is made through various freight partners. The lead time is as a rule approx. 1 to 2 weeks and can vary according to the version, the dimensions, the order quantity and the delivery location.

The goods are supplied by the pallet or bundled. Larger order quantities up to complete or several lorry loads can be organised accordingly.

Depending on the scope of delivery and the vehicle used, a forklift or comparable lifting equipment may be needed for unloading.

Collection at our Hennef address is not possible, as only our offices are located there.

Important notes

  • Ranger fence boards are supplied with a natural waney edge. The shape and line of the waney edge differ from board to board.
  • With side boards, boards both with and without a waney edge may be included.
  • The boards are predominantly approx. 15 to 25 cm wide. With side boards in particular, individual boards can turn out narrower or wider.
  • Remains of bark or inner bark may be present on the natural waney edge. These can partly come away over time through drying, transport and weathering.
  • Graded Ranger fence boards and side boards differ in evenness, width and appearance. A separate quote can be requested for either option.
  • Oak is a natural product. Differences in colour, knots, grain and surface are typical of timber.
  • Oak contains natural tannins. In combination with moisture and metals containing iron, dark to black discolouration can occur.
  • Further dimensions and lengths are possible on request subject to availability.
