Larch decking boards, all the essentials

Product description

Larch decking boards are solid timber boards for terraces, balconies and other outdoor surfaces that are walked on. Depending on the appearance wanted, three surface profiles are available: smooth planed, finely ribbed or coarsely ribbed.

Larch is often used for decking. For the service life outdoors, alongside the timber species it is above all correct construction, sufficient rear ventilation and quick drying after rain that are decisive.

Also common are the terms larch boards, decking timber and decking planks.

Areas of use

Larch decking boards are used above all for terraces, balconies, seating areas and other timber surfaces walked on outdoors, often in garden and landscape construction.

The profile wanted can be chosen by appearance and design. A ribbed surface is not fundamentally more slip-resistant than a smooth board; what matters includes the cleanliness, the weathering and the care of the surface.

The timber for our larch decking boards comes from sustainably managed forests in Germany.

Delivery

Delivery is made through various freight partners. The lead time is as a rule approx. 2 to 4 weeks and can vary according to the dimension, the surface profile, the order quantity and the delivery location.

The larch decking boards are supplied bundled or by the pallet. Larger order quantities up to complete or several lorry loads can be organised accordingly.

Depending on the scope of delivery and the vehicle used, a forklift or comparable lifting equipment may be needed for unloading. When you enquire, please let us know what unloading facilities are available on site.

Collection at our Hennef address is not possible, as only our offices are located there.

Important notes

  • Larch is a natural product. Differences in colour, knots, grain and resin content are typical of the material.
  • Through weathering and UV exposure, larch left natural changes colour over time and typically develops a grey patina.
  • Swelling and shrinkage, small cracks and slight changes in shape can occur through changing moisture content.
  • For a long service life, a correct substructure, sufficient rear ventilation and avoiding permanently standing moisture are important.
  • Ribbed profiles do not automatically offer greater slip resistance. Profiled decking boards should also be cleaned of dirt and growth regularly.
  • Particular requirements regarding appearance, grading or surface quality should be stated with the enquiry.
