Product description
Spruce fence pales are made from locally grown spruce and are available either rough-sawn or planed. Depending on the fence appearance wanted, two different profile shapes are available: rectangular fence pales for a straight-lined appearance, rough-sawn or planed, or half-round planed pales with a softer profile shape.
The head finish can also be adapted to the fence appearance wanted. The pales are available either square cut or bevelled. With the standard cross-sections 20 × 55 mm and 24 × 60 mm, numerous classic garden and property fences can be built.
Also common are the terms pale fence, garden fence pales and fence pales.
The same pales in larch are available as Larch fence pales; wider and with a round head they are called Spruce fence pales, wide. Rails and posts are in the Fences & Fence Posts overview.
What the width and thickness refer to on rough-sawn and planed stock is described in the article Sawn size and finished size.
