Softwood palisades, all the essentials

Product description

Softwood palisades are made from machine-rounded softwood and therefore have a round form. Pine, spruce and fir are used, and the composition can differ depending on the batch.

The palisades are available in various diameters and lengths and can be supplied untreated or pressure-treated as required. The head is either cut off blunt or chamfered. That makes various versions available for use in garden, landscape and fence building.

Also common are the terms palisade fence, round timber palisades and timber bed edging.

Left natural and without impregnation, the same form is available as Larch palisades; for fence installations rather than edgings, the softwood stake is the suitable form. Further stakes and posts are in the Stakes & Posts overview.

Areas of use

Softwood palisades are used above all in garden and landscape construction. Typical applications are bed and path edgings, boundaries, rows of palisades and various decorative edgings outdoors.

Depending on the dimension and version, they can also be used for fence installations such as pasture and paddock fences and other projects in which round timber palisades are used.

Origin & sustainability

Pine, spruce and fir are used for the softwood palisades. The exact composition and the origin of the timber can vary depending on the batch available.

Softwood is a renewable raw material and is among the timber species frequently used in European timber construction and gardens.

Delivery

Delivery is made through various freight partners. The lead time is as a rule approx. 2 to 3 weeks and can vary according to the dimensions, the order quantity and the delivery location.

The softwood palisades are supplied by the pallet. Larger order quantities up to complete or several lorry loads can be organised accordingly.

Depending on the scope of delivery and the vehicle used, a forklift or comparable lifting equipment may be needed for unloading. When you enquire, please let us know what unloading facilities are available on site.

Collection at our Hennef address is not possible, as only our offices are located there.

Important notes

  • The softwood palisades are made from pine, spruce and fir. The composition can vary depending on the batch.
  • If a particular timber species is to be excluded, this has to be expressly agreed before ordering. Whether it can be done depends on the batch available.
  • Timber is a natural product. Differences in colour, knots, grain and surface can occur.
  • Slight deviations in diameter and length are possible for reasons of material and production.
  • With pressure-treated stock, the colour tone and appearance can vary within a delivery.
  • The appropriate version depends on the field of use in question and on the loading on the timber.
  • Further dimensions and versions are possible on request subject to availability.
  • Machining and surface quality can vary according to the production process. If there are particular requirements regarding appearance, dimensional accuracy or surface, the intended purpose should be stated with the enquiry so that the appropriate version can be agreed.
